Woodworking design software, not general 3D modelling
General-purpose CAD draws shapes. Mortise draws boards: every part is a real piece of stock at its real size, cut with the operations you use in the shop and joined with real joinery and hardware. That is what lets it read a cut list, a shopping list and a cut sheet off the model.

There is nothing to download or install and no trial that runs out. Sign in at woodworking.app, start a project and design furniture, cabinets and shop fixtures board by board, in inches or millimetres.
What beta means here
Mortise is new and changing quickly. New tools and fixes arrive often, and the people who make it read every piece of feedback sent from the app. Your projects are kept in your account through the beta and after it.

About the price.
- Is Mortise free?
- Yes. Mortise is free while it is in beta, and every account has everything the app does. There is no trial period and nothing to pay.
- Do I need a credit card to sign up?
- No. You sign in with your email address, or with Google or Apple where those are offered, and no payment details are asked for.
- Will Mortise stay free after the beta?
- Designing in Mortise will stay free. Some extras may become paid features after the beta, and their prices will be on this page before they start.
- What happens to my projects when the beta ends?
- They stay in your account. The beta ending does not delete or lock anything you designed.
- Is there a plan for teams or schools?
- Not yet. Each account belongs to one person. You can share a project to the community, and anyone can copy it into their own account.
