Walnut Record Console: 54-Inch Vinyl Storage Cabinet with Drawer

A walnut record console woodworking design for a turntable, vinyl collection and audio equipment. The cabinet is 54 inches wide and 30 inches high, with an 18.5-inch-deep case and approximately 19.25 inches overall including the pull.

Two tall record bays flank two open-backed equipment cubbies and a central drawer. Mitred outer case corners conceal end grain, with concealed biscuit reinforcement. A tapered walnut leg-and-apron base gives the console a light mid-century profile. The drawer combines a walnut front, maple box and side-mounted slides. Hardboard backs brace the record bays while the open centre provides cable access.

Open the editable Mortise model to inspect parts, dimensions and joinery, then copy it to adapt for your equipment. Confirm slide fit, seasonal wood movement, equipment ventilation clearances and support for the intended vinyl load before building. The design has not been physically load tested.
