White Oak Apothecary Cabinet with 18 Drawers and Wooden Runners
White Oak Apothecary Cabinet with 18 Drawers and Wooden Runners, designed in Mortise from 233 boards of hard maple, white oak and black walnut.
An 18-drawer apothecary cabinet woodworking design for an entryway, study or craft room. Overall dimensions: 36 inches wide × 16 inches deep × 54 inches high.
White oak drawer fronts, top, plinth and a mortise-and-tenon base contrast with walnut finger pulls. Baltic birch plywood forms the stable carcass and support shelves; maple drawer boxes have rabbeted corners and captured plywood bottoms. Fitted maple bearing strips and side guides provide traditional wood-on-wood drawer travel without metal slides. Close reveals are approximately 2 mm above and below the fronts and 2.3 mm at the sides.
Build and installation notes: acclimate the timber, dry-fit every joint, and tune drawer clearances after finishing. Wax the running surfaces and preserve seasonal movement in the solid oak caps. Secure the rear restraint rail to suitable wall structure with correctly rated anti-tip hardware before use. Open one drawer at a time. This digital design is not a tested load rating or a substitute for workshop verification.
The gallery includes three AI-generated room visualizations and two renders exported from the Mortise model. Use the editable model and measured parts as the construction reference.
